Associated Press - Updated: March 4, 2014 at 4:29 pm

LYONS — Authorities say a woman left her 9-month-old child in her vehicle while she allegedly robbed a Lyons pharmacy at gunpoint.

The Boulder County Sheriff's Department says 35-year-old Abigail Jo Johnson surrendered to police Monday night and was arrested on suspicion of robbery, child abuse and other charges.

No phone number could be found for her, and she wasn't listed in online jail records.

The robbery occurred Monday in Lyons, a small town about 40 miles north of downtown Denver.

Sheriff's Cmdr. Heidi Prentup says a neighbor recognized Johnson from a surveillance photo released by authorities and persuaded her to turn herself in. Johnson surrendered to police in Johnstown, about 20 miles northeast of Lyons.

Johnson faces charges of aggravated robbery, theft of from an at-risk adult, menacing and child abuse.
