Shane Starrett, Air Force’s sophomore hockey goalie, has signed a two-year entry level free agent contract with the Edmonton Oilers, according to the Oilers official Twitter page.

Starrett finished with a 26-6-4 record as a starter for the Falcons, who soared to a 27-10-5 record this season and traveled to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.  He was considered, before he signed the pro contract, the key piece in Air  Force's upcoming 2017-2018 season.

Starrett is scheduled to discuss his decision at 2:30 p.m. Monday in a press conference at the academy.
