LA JUNTA — Authorities say the last of four inmates has been recaptured two days after they escaped from the Otero County jail by overpowering guards.
Sheriff Chris Johnson says 23-year-old Angel Castrejon was found in a house in La Junta Thursday afternoon.
Johnson says Castrejon surrendered peacefully when La Junta Police Chief Todd Quick found him there.
Johnson says an older woman was also in the home but apparently didn't know Castrejon was there. She wasn't harmed.
Castrejon was facing drug charges. He had escaped before from the same jail.
He and the three other inmates escaped Tuesday night.
The other three were captured earlier, but no details have been released. They were identified as 21-year-old Curtis Apodaca, 22-year-old Malcolm Hoffert and 30-year-old Johnny Nunez.
