Search operations continued on Monday for a 39-year-old Indiana man who went missing over the weekend while hiking in Eagle County.

James McGrogan of Chesterton, became separated from his group shortly after 10 a.m. Friday in the area of the Eiseman Hut, north of Vail, according to a news release from the Eagle County Sheriff's Office.

Since his party reported him missing Friday night, rescue crews have been searching for more than 700 hours, including 24 hours of aviation time by a high-attitude search division of the Colorado Army National Guard, according to the release.

So far, crews have found no trace of McGrogan, according to the release.

There does not appear to have been an avalanche in that area, said Jessie Mosher, spokeswoman for the sheriff's office

Search efforts will continue into Monday night.
