COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Visitors now have more opportunities to tour the South Carolina Statehouse.
Beginning Saturday, the Statehouse will be open from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. every Saturday of the month for either self-guided tours or tours with a guide. Until now, the Statehouse had only been open on the first Saturday of the month.
While visitors can tour the Statehouse, they will only be able to look through the glass doors where the House and Senate meet and not able to enter the legislative chambers.
This year, the Statehouse will be closed on the Saturdays after Thanksgiving and Christmas.
