Safeway store in Fountain robbed Friday

A Safeway in Fountain was robbed Friday by a man who gave a clerk a note that said he had a gun, police said.

The note also demanded money, according to Fountain police.

Police said the robber fled on foot with cash from the store at 6925 Mesa Ridge Parkway.

Anyone with information can call the Fountain Police department at 382-8555, or call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP (7867).
