Calf born to Waldo Canyon fire survivor re-introduced to mom

Waldo the calf is more familiar with Flying W Ranch volunteer John Hendrix than she is with her own mother. She's been bottle-fed by Hendrix since birth, because her mother's udders were too badly burned in the Waldo Canyon fire. Waldo's mother looks around the corner of the barn as Waldo nabs the scarf of Hendrix on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. She was reintroduced to her mother this week, but has been a little shy of her so far. Photo by JERILEE BENNETT/The Gazette
