LOS ANGELES (AP) — No. 9 seed Florida State (23-11) vs. No. 3 seed Michigan (31-7)

Final, West Region, Los Angeles, Saturday, approximately 8:49 p.m.

BOTTOM LINE: Michigan could earn a trip to its first Final Four since 2013 by setting a school record with its 32nd victory, but the Big Ten tournament champions must avoid becoming the fourth consecutive upset victim of Florida State. The Seminoles are surprisingly on the brink of the second Final Four in school history after extending the momentum from their upset of top-seeded Xavier last week by knocking out Gonzaga.

BIGGER NUMBERS: After mostly muddling through last week's opening NCAA Tournament games, the Wolverines hit their offensive stride with a 99-point thras

(AP) — Police in Massachusetts have arrested a man in connection with a burglary at New England Patriots player Rob Gronkowski's home while he was at the Super Bowl.

Foxborough police say 31-year-old Anthony Almeida was charged Friday with breaking and entering, receiving stolen property and malicious destruction of property after his home in Randolph was searched.

Gronkowski's home in Foxborough was burglarized in February while his team was in Minnesota to play against the Philadelphia Eagles. The tight end's roommates also reported items stolen. Authorities have recovered an Apple watch, a Rolex watch and some rare coins so far.

(AP) — Clayton Kershaw finished spring training with a 0.00 ERA.

The Los Angeles Dodgers' three-time NL Cy Young Award winner stretched his scoreless streak to 21 1/3 innings with 6 2/3 innings against Kansas City in his final tuneup for Thursday's opener against San Francisco. He allowed a leadoff single to Jon Jay and no other hits. He struck out four and walked none in a 10-0 win.

"He was efficient as he could ever be," Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Friday. (AP) — All-Star second baseman Daniel Murphy is likely to remain behind in Florida when the Washington Nationals break camp.

Murphy had micro-fracture surgery on his right knee on Oct. 20 and has not appeared in any major league or minor league spring training games. His rehabilitation has taken longer than expected, and Howie Kendrick or Wilmer Difo are expected to start at second in next Thursday's opener at Cincinnati.

"He's coming along," new manager Dave Martinez said. "Might see him maybe get some at-bats here in the next week or so down in the minor league camp."

A three-time All-Star, Murphy turns 33 on April 1. He is eligible for free agency after the season.

The 2-and-1 victory sent Spieth home in search of his game with the Masters just two weeks away.

Spieth hit his opening tee shot onto the range and out-of-bounds. He hit into a hazard on each of the next two holes. And when he finally caught Reed with consecutive shots to tap-in range, he missed two key putts inside 6 feet.

"I don't think it would have been that tough to beat me today," Spieth said.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) — San Francisco Giants left-hander Madison Bumgarner is hurt for the second straight year, breaking a bone in his pitching hand when hit by a line drive off the bat of Kansas City's Whit Merrifield during a spring training game on Friday.

The Giants said X-rays showed the 28-year-old had a broken bone on the outside of his left hand.

Even in the South Region, where the top four seeds were bounced out on the first weekend — a first for the NCAA Tournament — no one was really talking about these Wildcats.

Paxton Lynch still walks our earth. He’s still on the Broncos roster. He still could someday contend for the starting job. He’s still 6-foot-7 and blessed with a powerful right arm.

For weeks, it’s seemed The Big Man does not even exist. He’s become invisible. He’s been dismissed.

He delivered a decent performance against the Chiefs’ second-string defense to end the 2017 season. He’s only 24, and he’s been given the blessing of a season to sit and learn behind Case Keenum, a football craftsman.

Am I convinced Lynch will someday develop into one of the NFL’s top 16 quarterbacks?

DENVER -- Brock will not be back.

Brock Osweiler's second tour with the Broncos ended quietly and officially Friday as the backup quarterback signed with the Miami Dolphins, according to multiple reports. Osweiler reunites with coach Adam Gase, his former offensive coordinator during the majority of his time in Denver.

Osweiler returned to the Broncos prior to last season, signed to a veteran minimum contract to play behind Trevor Siemian as Paxton Lynch healed from a shoulder injury. It brought full circle an odd journey after he defected from Denver 16 months earlier, signing a four-year, $72-million deal with Houston.

Osweiler fizzled as the Texans' franchise quarterback, never connecting with coach Bill O'Brien.

Air Force’s hockey team can beat St. Cloud State, and this is not some blurry, far-removed-from-reality vision of the future.

The Falcons are the No. 16 seed in the 16-team NCAA Hockey Tournament. They have been deemed the weakest team, and St. Cloud is allegedly the best.

But any sport with a goalie is a sport of upsets. This means Friday’s Air Force-St. Cloud ice battle could be full of surprise.

Three reasons why the Falcons could shock everyone – except themselves – with a victory Friday in Sioux Falls, S.D.:

One – Billy the Greek
