We've seen the Rockies get off to hot starts before only to struggle in the second full month of the season. Colorado is once again hot to start the season posting a 16-10 record and leading the NL West. The next month will be crucial in determining the type of season Colorado has. Here is a look at the team's recent history:

2016: 11-12 on May 1 and then 24-27 on June 1 = 13-15 in May

2015: 11-10 on May 1 and then 22-26 on June 1 = 11-16 in May

2014: 16-13 on May 1 and then 28-29 on June 1 = 12-16 in May

2013: 17-11 on May 1 and then 28-27 on June 1 = 11-16 in May

2012: 11-11 on May 1 and then 21-29 on June 1 = 10-18 in May

2011: 17-8 on May 1 and then 25-29 on June 1 = 8-21 in May

Over the past six seasons, since their last playoff berth, the Rockies are 65-102 in May.
