A man armed with a weapon tried to rob a liquor store Tuesday in southeast Colorado Springs, but police said he got away empty-handed. Police received reports of a robbery alarm going off about 10:30 p.m. from the D and S Liquor store on 2535 Delta Dr., off the Hancock Expressway, police said....

A man armed with a weapon tried to rob a liquor store Tuesday in southeast Colorado Springs, but police said he got away empty-handed.

Police received reports of a robbery alarm going off about 10:30 p.m. from the D and S Liquor store on 2535 Delta Dr., off the Hancock Expressway, police said.

A man entered the liquor store and demanded cash from the clerk. Police did not say what type of weapon the man had.

The robber fled from the store without cash or property, and made a quick getaway, possibly in a car, police said.
