Temperatures soared to 92 degrees Tuesday in Colorado Springs, tying the city's record high for June 5 set in 2011, the National Weather Service in Pueblo reported.
And in Pubelo, the high was 100 degrees, breaking the June 5 record of 97 degrees set there in 1946 and 2006, the weather service reported.
Above-average heat is expected all week in Colorado Springs. The weather service predicted highs of 85 degrees Wednesday and 89 degrees Thursday and Friday.
"The rest of the week looks dry and hot," Gazette news partner KKTV reported.
