The Broncos were in a giving mood.

Denver's offense committed three turnovers and allowed four sacks in a 27-11 loss to the Redskins in Landover, Md.

Brock Osweiler, who was officially named the starter on Sunday morning, completed 22 of 38 passes for 195 yards with no touchdowns, one interception and one fumble.

Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins, who many have linked as a potential target for the Broncos in the offseason, passed for 299 yards and three touchdowns.

Former Broncos tight end Vernon Davis scored the final Washington touchdown with 4:21 remaining to make the score 27-3.

Denver finishes the year 1-3 against the NFC East with its only win coming against Dallas. The Broncos (5-10) had not lost 10 games in a season since 2010.

Broncos running back C.J. Anderson had 88 yards rushing on 16 carries. He will need 54 yards in Week 17 against the Chiefs to reach 1,000 on the season.

Anderson scored a touchdown and converted a 2-point conversion with 1:18 remaining to avoid a 24-point loss.
