I don't know why lovers of the outdoors tend to be lovers of beer, but you can find both in Manitou Springs' bucolic Memorial Park on Saturday, when the Manitou Craft Lager Festival sets up camp for a day. The region's longest-running beer festival, which is in its eighth year, was established to raise money for local parks. It has been pared down from two days to one, but you'll still find unlimited samples of the finest lagers from brewers in Colorado and beyond as well as samples of Colorado-made spirits. Tickets are $30 for 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. or 4-8 p.m. session, or $40 for both. There will be food for sale and music by the Deadstring Brothers and Smooth Money Gesture. Visit craftlagerfest ival.com for tickets or more information.
