Gazette Premium Content Pueblo police raid home, seize meth, cash, several loaded guns

A more than six-month Pueblo investigation ended Friday night with three arrests and the seizure of drugs, guns and cash.

Armed with a search warrant, the Pueblo County Sheriff's narcotics unit entered a home in the 1000 block of Linda Avenue in Pueblo West about 8 p.m. Friday. They found, meth, digital scales and cash, along with 13 loaded guns, two swords and several machetes and knives.

Some of the weapons were within arms-reach when police entered the home, Sheriff Kirk Taylor said.

Police arrested Steven Wilson, 51, Shane Smith, 39, and Kimberlie Verigan, 35.

Wilson, the homeowner, had multiple arrest warrants in Pueblo and El Paso counties. Verigan had two outstanding Department of Corrections escape warrants and Smith was on probation.

All three were booked into the Pueblo jail.
