After filling the gym at St. Mary's last year, the annual 3A-2A Southern Colorado All-Star Classic has changed its venue, tipping off at the Gallogly Events Center at UCCS on April 11.

All-stars from the 2A Black Forest League will meet opposing players from the 3A Tri-Peaks League. The girls' game is set to start at 6 p.m., followed by the boys' contest at 7:30 p.m.

In addition, top sharpshooters will compete in a 3-point contest, and a college scholarship will be awarded to a male and female player from among the all-star rosters.

Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for students.

Incoming inclement weather postpones F-FC golf tournament

The expected return of winter weather Thursday has forced the postponement of the Trojan Invitational golf tournament at Fort Carson's Cheyenne Shadows Golf Course.

"We looked at the weather and the expected wind chill when we were going to tee off, and it was in the upper teens," Trojans athletic director Kelley Eichman said.

Eichman said the tournament has tentatively been rescheduled for April 28, but also could be played April 25.

"We already gave out the 28th as a tentative date, but that's when the league results are due for regionals," Eichman said. "That's why we might move it up a few days, especially if we see bad weather ahead."
