Gazette Premium Content Pregnant woman crashes SUV with snow plow

By Andrea Sinclair Published: February 4, 2014

A 22-year-old pregnant woman crashed her SUV into a snowplow on Judge Orr Road Tuesday when she tried to pass another snow plow, the Colorado State Patrol said.

The woman was taken to a hospital with a broken arm, said State Patrol Sgt. Scott Hopand. The snow plow driver was not hurt.

The crash happened east of Calhan Highway shortly before 10 a.m., and temporarily slowed traffic on Judge Orr Road.

The woman was eastbound in a 2014 GMC Yukon when she tried to pass the snow plow in front of her and collided with another snow plow that was traveling west, Hopand said.

The Yukon struck the blade of the oncoming snow plow and spun a few times before coming to rest on the side of the road, Hopand said.
