Colorado Springs police arrested a woman after she allegedly broke into a home and attacked an officer Thursday night.
At about 6 p.m., Christine Adams smashed the windows of a home in the 100 block of Cascade Court in a burglary attempt, police said.
When officers arrived, Adams had left but was found in an alley nearby. When police attempted to talk with her, she continued to walk away. Officers made physical contact with her, whereupon she resisted arrest and punched an officer, police said.
After a "short struggle", Adams was arrested on suspicion of attempted second-degree burglary, criminal mischief, second-degree assault on a peace officer and resisting arrest.
