A Colorado Springs police undercover operation shed light on suspected Spice sales at a local smoke shop, resulting in the arrest of one of the shop's employees and almost 70 grams of synthetic marijuana to be confiscated.

The Metro 40's Street Impact Team conducted multiple undercover purchases of suspected Spice, or synthetic marijuana, from the B Street Smoke Shop, 2051 B St., police said.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office SWAT team executed a search warrant for the business on Monday and seized 69.28 grams of suspect synthetic marijuana.

The smoke shop employee, whose name was not released by police pending an ongoing investigation, was booked into the El Paso County jail on felony charges, police said.
