A 40-year-old man was hospitalized after Colorado Springs police say he was stabbed Saturday night.

Police were called at about 8:30 p.m. to the 600 block of Easthills Road, where they found a man who had been stabbed outside his apartment. The victim was stabbed in the upper arm after raising his arm to protect himself from the suspect's attempt to stab him in the chest, according to police.

The wound is not considered to be life-threatening.

Police believe the suspect may be the victim's girlfriend's ex-boyfriend. He's described as about 45 years old, 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds. He drove away in a white or pearl newer model Mitsubishi Eclipse with a black bra on the front of the car.
