AURORA — Police were searching for an SUV with Texas plates possibly connected to a deadly hit and run in Aurora.

Aurora police say a witness described the vehicle in the early Sunday incident as a white Suburban or Tahoe type SUV with Texas license plate number BBD3309.

Police say a male victim was lying in a road lane near the Anschutz Medical Campus when witnesses say the SUV ran over him. Witnesses told police the driver made a U-turn and slowly drove back past the scene before leaving.

Police did not release additional details, including the man's name or why he was lying in the road.

Those with information are asked to call 303-739-6342.
