Gazette Premium Content Police investigate after infant dies at shelter

DENVER — Denver police are investigating after an infant died at a Salvation Army shelter.

The Denver Post reports (http://bit.ly/1lOjfER ) the 4-month-old's family was living at the Lambuth Family Shelter in the northwestern part of the city, and the death was reported at about 9:20 p.m. Monday.

The Salvation Army said in a news release Tuesday that "we are struck by the tragedy of this event, and our hearts go out to the family."

No other details have been released.
