A man who allegedly shot at Colorado Springs police Tuesday tried to steal a vehicle immediately after the shooting, but the victim managed to get away, police said Wednesday.

Frank Goad, who is still on the lam, is believed to have confronted a Colorado Springs man near the 100 block of Talamine Court about 4 p.m. and tried to steal his vehicle.

"The victim was able to run from the area before Mr. Goad was able to steal his vehicle," police said.

Police also announced Wednesday that a man who was at Goose Gossage Park when Goad allegedly exchanged fire with a police officer was arrested on an unrelated charge.

Patrick Addison was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, police said.
