Police find collection of stolen items in man's home, officer say

Colorado Springs police arrested a man on Tuesday who they believe was stashing stolen items in his Colorado Springs home.

Steven Alan Hovind, 49, was arrested on suspicion of burglarizing home, at 1835 Queens Canyon Court, in November, police said. Hovind was arrested at a home in the 5500 block of Trout Creek Pass.

In the home, detectives found numerous items that had been reported stolen, although they had not yet identified the owners of the stolen items, police said. At some point, the police will host a public viewing of the items to help identify them. Police have not yet connected Hovind to the suspected theft of the other items in the house.
