A five-hour standoff in response to a domestic violence call to Colorado Springs police on Friday ended with officers using tear gas to arrest 45-year-old Ronald Wyckoff.

The incident happened at a hotel on Rusina Road, near Interstate 25 and Garden of the Gods Road. Police were dispatched at 3:30 p.m., after a woman reported she was being threated by a man whom she had a protection order against. The woman left the room before the officers arrived. The man refused to leave the room until he was forced out at about 8:50 p.m.
