Fugitive falls through roof, hides in bathroom before arrest in Colorado Springs

A 26-year-old fugutive was nabbed Thursday night after falling through a roof at a dental office and barricading himself in a bathroom.

Colorado Springs police said Andrew Stiern surrendered peacefully after a brief standoff at the Comfort Dental at 3952 N. Academy Blvd.

According to police, Stiern dashed into the office in an attempt to elude authorities. Stiern was being chased by authorities in connection to three active felony warrants, police said. Stiern apparently tried to leave the building through the roof, but ended up falling through a ceiling before seeking refuge in a bathroom.

Stiern was taken to the El Paso County jail. He will likely face charges in addition to those stemming from the warrants, police said.
