Police: Colorado Springs woman intentionally ran over boyfriend, drove away

A domestic disturbance turned violent Tuesday night when a woman allegedly intentionally hit her boyfriend with her vehicle, Colorado Springs police said.

Police issued an arrest warrant for second-degree assault for Charmain Trujillo, 43. She had not been arrested as of Wednesday.

Officers responding to a disturbance call found the injured man laying on the roadway about 11 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of University Drive, police said. He was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to police, the man was walking on University Drive when he was intentionally struck by a car.
