I've been fan of Elisabeth Moss since she owned the role of jaded copywriter Peggy Olson on "Mad Men."

In "The Handmaid's Tale," she brought incredible restraint to the role of a woman forced to be the vessel for a barren couple's child. Moss' versatility is proved once again in the BBC miniseries "Top of the Lake: China Girl," now on the Sundance Channel.

It's a dark one to binge (themes include human trafficking, murder and rape), but keep a close eye on her quietly raging portrayal of Australian homicide detective Robin Griffin.
