Haven't splurged for the chef's tasting menu at the Penrose Room, which starts at $396 including the wine but not tax and tip? With this deal, you shouldn't delay: The Penrose Room at The Broadmoor, 1 Lake Ave., is offering a three-course dinner and wine pairing for $100 (plus tax and tip) on Thursdays through March 29. The evening meals are prepared by chef de cuisine Max Robbins, who has cooked at The French Laundry in Napa Valley, Calif. Jackets and dressy denim allowed in the jewel box of a dining room. Call 577-5733. - Teresa Farney

I've been let down by Pink Floyd cover bands. Any Pink Floyd fan has been let down by Pink Floyd cover bands. But Colorado Floyd does it right, and better yet, the guys on occasion jam for free around their native West Side. On March 10, I'll be curious to see how things go as they play for the first time at Manitou Springs' Stagecoach Inn. The restaurant has less space than most of the local spots frequented by the band. But an intimate environment might be best. Arrive early to snag a place before the 8:30 p.m. start. - Seth Boster
