An early 20th century firehouse on the westside of Colorado Springs has been reborn by beer.

N3 Taphouse is the long-awaited vision of Johnny Nolan, who owned SouthSide Johnny's before closing it in March.

His new project is family-friendly and boasts a food menu of delicacies to rival the fancy, hearty grub across the street at Cerberus Brewing Co.

Korean BBQ beef complements choices up and down the menu, which includes sections of small and large plates along with greens and pizza. The long row of taps, with a handful of local options, catches the eye on both floors, as does the original brick.

N3 Taphouse is located at 817 W. Colorado Ave.
