A pregnant woman from Falcon didn't make it to the hospital in time.

Nathan Simpson, 29, packed his wife and their three daughters into the car to head for Parker Adventist Hospital at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, according to thedenverchannel.com.

They were still about 35 minutes from the hospital when Stephanie Simpson, 30, knew the baby couldn't wait any longer.

The family pulled over on Highway 83 near Jones Road at about 6:30 a.m., Dave Woodrick with Franktown Fire Protection District confirmed.

The baby began to crown just as Tri Lakes Fire (Monument) and Franktown Fire departments arrived, hospital officials said.
