In the second pedestrian death in the past two days, a man died after being hit by a vehicle Sunday night on the west side of Colorado Springs, police said.

The crash happened about 6:15 p.m. in the 300 block of North 3oth Street. The man was taken to a local hospital where he died, police said. No other details were released.

On Saturday, a man reportedly chasing after a dog that had run into the street in Stratmoor Hills south of Colorado Springs was struck and killed by a truck in the 4300 block of Loomis Avenue about 3:45 p.m., the Colorado State Patrol said.

The victim’s name was not released, but The Gazette’s news partner KKTV reported that he had been identified by family members as Sean O’Grady.
