BOULDER — A University of Colorado professor suspended from teaching a class on deviant behavior is getting support from the faculty.

Patti Adler's controversial University of Colorado course passed an initial faculty review this week, but the tenured professor is still not sure whether she'll return to teach the class.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera (http://tinyurl.com/lm5ss66 ), four professors in CU's sociology department found the course to be appropriate for her to teach this coming semester. Their recommendations are not binding.

CU Provost Russell Moore sent an email to students, faculty and staff saying Adler is being suspended from teaching the class because of complaints from students who did not want to participate in a role-playing skit as part of the course.
