An unverified threat prompted Palmer Ridge High School officials to provide extra security at the campus Monday, according to Gazette news partner KKTV.
A threat against Palmer Ridge High was reported over the weekend via Safe2Tell, an anonymous tip line for kids, said Julie Stephen, spokeswoman for Lewis-Palmer School District 38. The tip was found "not actionable," but the district decided to put extra security in place Monday as a precaution, KKTV reported.
Stephen did not elaborate on the nature of the threat.
The extra security does not affect the school's class schedule Monday, KKTV reported.
