A Colorado Springs man and woman suspected of robbing a 22-year-old man at the Midnight Rose Hotel & Casino in Cripple Creek were arrested Wednesday during a traffic stop in Woodland Park.

With guns drawn, Woodland Park police removed Dominique Hagens 24, Jasmin Stokes 32 and two other people from a car that was traveling near Highway 24 and Morning Side Drive about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The night before the arrest, authorities believe Hagens and Stokes had been interacting with the victim, who was staying at the hotel. In the early morning hours of Jan. 15 investigators said the pair allegedly went to the man's room, beat him up and demanded cash, resulting in a scuffle that spilled out into the hotel hallway.

The victim was treated at a Pueblo Urgent Care hospital for his injuries.

Stokes and Hagens are being held at the Teller County jail on suspicion of aggravated robbery and first degree assault.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is leading the investigation.
