Two men were arrested on suspicion of DUI after allegedly driving the same car and trying to flee from police Sunday.

Glenn Decarlo, 23, and James McGee, 24, were identified by Colorado Springs police as the two men arrested after a bizarre series of events.

A driver was spotted about 3 a.m. at the intersection of North Academy Boulevard and North Carefree Circle with no working headlights and running a red light, police said.

The driver, identified as James McGee, allegedly got out of the vehicle and ran, while a passenger was left behind in the car, sleeping.

Police said they ran after McGee, using a stun gun to stop him and take him into custody. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI and driving on a suspended license, court records show.

In a complete turn of events, police said the sleeping passenger then woke up and got in the driver's seat, taking off toward North Academy Boulevard and Half Turn Road, where police stopped him.

The man was identifed as Decarlo and confirmed the vehicle belonged to him. Decarlo was also arrested on suspicion of DUI, police said.
