Colorado Springs police say one person was shot in the back early Sunday morning when a house party got out of control.

One man fired two rounds from a handgun after several people were told to leave the house party at 2317 N. Nevada Ave., at about 1:15 a.m. Sunday, according to police. The victim, who was standing in front of the house when shot, made it to a local hosptial with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect remains on the loose.
