A man suspected of assaulting a Colorado Springs resident allegedly refused to "be a rat" and identify his accomplice who remained at large, police said.

Ryan M. Carter was arrested Sunday on suspicion of assault after he and a second male allegedly drove up in a pickup truck to a man's home on the 1100 block of Fosdick Drive, off Galley Road and North Murray Boulevard, police said.

Carter and his accomplice reportedly attacked the homeowner, who had been working on his car in the driveway, and was holding a screwdriver, which he used to defend himself. Police said Carter suffered several non-life threatening injuries in the altercation and was treated at a local hospital.

The second male fled before police arrived on scene and Carter told police he would give them his accomplice's name, police said.
