Fort Carson police took one person into custody after reports of a shot being fired at the Army installation Thursday morning, according to military officials.

According to a statement from the Mountain Post's public affairs office, the shooting happened about 6 a.m. in a housing area and no one was injured. The identity of the person arrested was not released.

The investigation remained active, according to Fort Carson officials.
