DENVER — Authorities say a 2-year-old boy is expected to be OK after he fell from a third-floor balcony to a concrete patio at an apartment in the Denver suburb of Northglenn.

Northglenn police Sgt. Ian Lopez tells The Denver Post the boy, whose name has not been released, climbed onto boxes or a table on the balcony and fell over the edge just before 12:30 p.m. Saturday. The toddler was unconscious and not breathing when his mother reached him, but he soon came to and began crying.

Lopez says the boy suffered minor cuts and abrasions.
