Canucks assistant Doug Lidster, the last former Colorado College Tigers hockey player to win a Stanley Cup, was also let go when Vancouver fired coach Willie Desjardins on Monday.

The 56-year-old British Columbia native won the cup with the N.Y. Rangers (1994) and Dallas Stars (1999) during a 16-year NHL career.

The 1980 Vancouver draft pick, who recorded 156 points (school career record 56 goals) in four seasons as a CC defenseman (1979-83), became a Canucks assistant in July 2014.
