Colorado Springs minor league soccer franchise owners Ragain Sports are holding a name the team contest lasting until this Friday.

The new USL PRO franchise is looking for ideas with historical significance or some connection to Colorado Springs but will accept any idea. Children 18 and under will need a parent or guardian to complete the online form at ragainsports.com or on Facebook at facebook.com/ragainsports/contest.

The owners will announce their pick on Jan. 24 at Jack Quinn’s Irish Pub & Restaurant at a time to be announced. Those who submit nicknames will have the first chance to make season ticket deposits.

The franchise was announced in early December and will open play at Sand Creek Stadium, which is adjacent to Security Service Field, in spring 2015.
