The new St. Benedict Catholic Church in Falcon will be dedicated Oct. 8.

A new Roman Catholic church is set to be dedicated in Falcon.

Bishop Michael Sheridan of the Diocese of Colorado Springs, the Rev. Jaimes Ponce, and the parishioners of St. Benedict Catholic Church in Falcon announce the dedication of their new church at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 8.

Bishop Sheridan will host the ceremony at 12150 Falcon Highway, just east of Falcon Elementary School. The event is open to the public and a potluck meal will be served after the ceremony.

Design and construction were by Art C. Klein Construction Inc. of Colorado Springs, who renovated an existing barn structure into the church. Other site improvements include parking and landscaping.

For more information, contact Parish Administrator Deacon Lynn Sherman at 495-1426 or DeaconLynn@questoffice.net.
