CHICAGO (AP) — One of Chicago's museums is marking the anniversary of the Great Chicago Fire of 1871.
The Chicago History Museum will commemorate the 142nd anniversary Tuesday with a day of fire safety awareness.
The event will include representatives of the Chicago Fire Department. There also will be artifacts from the historic fire. Attendees will get to see fire trucks up close and get a free Chicago flag.
The museum will be free to Illinois residents on Tuesday.
