Motorcyclist, an airman, killed in Denver hit-and-run crash identified

A motorcycle driver and serviceman killed in a traffic crash was identified Friday by the U.S. Air Force.

Senior Airman Michael S. Snyder, 23, of the 460th Space Communications Squadron on Buckley Air Force Base, was killed Wednesday in a hit-and-run crash near Monaco Parkway and East Alameda Avenue in Denver.

He was pronounced dead at 11:07 p.m. Wednesday at Denver Health Medical Center.

A native of El Paso, Ill., Snyder was stationed at Buckley since 2012.
