Motorcyclist, a Buckley airman, killed in Denver hit-and-run crash

A motorcyclist died Wednesday night after a collision with a van in Denver.

The fatal crash happened at about 10:20 p.m. near the intersection of East Alameda Avenue and Monaco Parkway, said Sonny Jackson, a Denver Police Department spokesman.

The motorcycle was hit by a van, Jackson said, and police believe the driver of the van was under the influence of alcohol.

The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
