Soldiers help unload a pallet of turkeys at the Fort Carson Culinary Academy Friday, Nov. 17, 2017. The 300 turkeys will be cooked by soldiers at the Culinary academy next week for the four Salvation Army Thanksgiving meals around the Pikes Peak Region. This marks the 27th year Fort Carson has joined forces with the Salvation Army and more than 3,000 meals will be served on Thanksgiving Day. (The Gazette, Christian Murdock)
