GIRLS' LACROSSE

Air Academy 11, Los Alamitos (Calif.) 9

At San Diego: In its toughest test of the season, Air Academy (5-0) rallied from a first-half deficit to beat California sectional champion Los Alamitos and stay unbeaten.

MacEllen McDonough scored five goals and goalie Jaycee Davis made nine saves, as the Kadets trailed 4-3 at the break before scoring seven times in the second half.

"They're a very good team from California," Kadets coach Sean Harmon said.

"Jayce was really good today," Harmon said. "She had some really good saves in the second half to keep us in the lead."

The victory is the Kadets' second on the road in California. Now they'll get a lengthy break. They won't play again until April 3 when they host Centaurus, also unbeaten for the time being at 4-0.

"It was our hardest game all season," McDonough said. "It was a really good test becasue we had to come together and play outside of what we usually play."
