Monarch Mountain offers ski discounts to groups of 10 or more

Monarch Mountain knows how difficult it is to coordinate a multiperson outing. That's especially true when you're working with a crowd large enough to qualify for special discounts, which ski areas and resorts traditionally only offer to groups of 20 or more.

After noticing a drop in the number of large groups taking advantage of the deal, Monarch has lowered the minimum number of skiers/riders needed for a discount to 10. With the package, all-day adult lift tickets start at $40.

"Skiers that visited in large school and church groups are now coming as families, and we want to accommodate these guests," marketing director Greg Ralph said. "We see a lot of multiple families visiting Monarch from our destination markets in the south. Colorado Front Range families are also coming to Monarch looking for a less hectic ski/snowboard vacation, so it just makes sense to help these guests with affordable pricing and professional service."

The purchase of 10 ticket products - lift tickets or lift tickets combined with a lesson or rentals - qualifies for the special pricing, which drops lift tickets to $32 for teens 13 to 15 and $17 for juniors age 7 to 12. Tickets are valid through closing day, April 13, and there are no blackout periods.

Monarch also has expanded its reservations department to include three group-planning specialists who are available online and by phone.
