Mesa County wants to be a Colorado drone zone

GRAND JUNCTION — Developers of unmanned aircraft known as drones have picked Mesa County as a proposed test range in Colorado.

A group of industries, universities and sheriffs plan to be in Grand Junction on Friday to show off the newest planes.

The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reports (http://tinyurl.com/klm6ya8 ) Mesa County could be one of 14 Colorado test ranges that include airspace close to Front Range airports and even some private ranches.
