Manitou Springs High School band sets tree recycling fundraiser

The Manitou Springs High School Symphonic Band will be collecting and recycling Christmas trees for cash donations to help raise funds to pay for a band trip to Texas.



Before bringing the trees for recycling, please remove all stands, lights, ornaments, tinsel and flocking.

Recycling dates are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Jan. 1; 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Jan. 2; 2 p.m.-4 p.m. Jan. 8; and 9 a.m.-3p.m. Jan. 9. Trees may be dropped off at the Manitou Springs High School at 405 El Monte Place, on the east side, by the track. Students will be there to help unload trees.

The Manitou Springs High School Symphonic Band is a 60-piece ensemble that performs regularly in Manitou Springs. All concerts are free and open to the public. Visit www.mssd14.org/band for more information.
